Inger Martens adds
humor, energy, fun and solutions to dog ownership! The New York
Post calls her the “Super Nanny of Pets!” She has a magnetic
“you can- do it” spirit and offers simple solutions to everyday dog
problems.
“My first vivid
memory as a three year old child (to the horror of my mother) was
enthusiastically chanting the word doggie as I raced toward a woman
walking her Doberman, “ states Martens.
At the ripe old
age of 12 she fell into dog training. After relentlessly badgering
her parents they reluctantly acquiesced by giving her a German
shepherd puppy. She was to take full responsibility of the dog or he
was history! In view of the circumstances, she took matters in her
own hands and attended an adult obedience class. She graduated from
basic obedience! Then advanced, agility, utility, confirmation, and
off leash training at the top of her class. “It was a three year
journey that taught me about love, patience, responsibility and how
to be present.
Inger’s
experience led her to study Mass Communications and Human Psychology
at the University of Denver, where she earned her B.A.. Her degree
combined with her twenty years of experience as dog
trainer/behaviorist/author gives her a unique problem solving
perspective.
“Often it is
human behaviors that create automatic misbehaviors in dogs,” states
Martens. “I teach people how to apply quick training tips to real
life situations.” Surviving dog ownership over a 15-year span can
produce an array of different circumstances. Inger integrates her
quick tips and isolates and then combines the needs of the dog and
dog owners. This helps solve lifestyle issues such as moving, having
a baby, adding another dog that makes her quick tips work and
incredibly popular. Honored by Los Angeles Magazine- as the Best
Dog Trainer in L.A.
